Customer advice regarding the Coronavirus

Update: March 2021

As we have now decided to honour all postponed bookings regardless of timeframe, we have added the Postpone Booking button to all customer booking pages.

We will also be sending out automated emails to all customers with upcoming bookings – please let us know via the links in that email if you won’t be attending that booking! It makes things much easier in the shop if we know who is going to be arriving for their rescheduled booking.

Stay safe everyone and fingers crossed we’ll be seeing many of you quite soon!

Update: April 20 2020

The situation across Europe continues to prevent any travel to Mallorca, and on the island itself we are under very restrictive lockdown rules, so we have added the Postpone Booking button to all customer booking pages for bookings in May, June and July, and we have communicated via email to all customers with bookings within the next few months.

October bookings are filling up, so it’s looking like the island will be very lively indeed with holiday makers trying to make the best of the situation – let’s hope the weather stays warm for everyone!

Stay safe everyone and we hope to see you all soon.

Update: March 19 2020

It looks as though the shop closure, and more importantly the flight cancellations throughout Europe, will almost definitely extend into and through April. Due to this, we have added a Postpone Booking button to customer Booking Pages whereby you can automatically pause your booking as we have mentioned in previous updates and communicated to our customers via email.

At the moment we’ve limited this to bookings starting in April and May, however we will do our best to keep all our customers updated as information changes.

Update: March 15 2020

Due to the declared State of Emergency in Spain, the Cafe and Shop will remain closed until at least April 1 2020. All bookings starting within this timeframe have been postponed as per the details below. We will email all affected customers in due course.

We hope that the unprecedented choices businesses and travellers are faced with connected to the Covid-19 virus will not be long lasting. In the meantime we have an increased amount of correspondence that we are dealing with at PCH and ask for your patience and understanding at this time. When it’s over (and we hope that it will be soon) we still want to be the go-to place for bike hire in Mallorca, so it’s important that we look after you our valued customer. We want to let you know that we are implementing enhanced protocols to ensure you have full flexibility of your rental booking(s).

What should I do if I have already made a booking, but it’s impacted by the Coronavirus?

If you have already made a booking, but it is impacted by a quarantine measure or other travel restrictions due to the Covid-19 virus we are now providing clients with the opportunity to hold their booking(s) for a future date (please note, dates are subject to availability, especially during peak times). The exact date or duration of your booking does not have to be confirmed at this time, all you have to do is pause the booking if you are certain that your trip will not go ahead. If you would like to hold your booking, please use the contact form to let us know, and remember to include your booking reference number in your message.

If you decide to cancel your booking our normal refund policy is in place and the standard cancellation fee will be applied in line with our day-to-day refund policy (*see summary below)

* The standard handling fee of 75% will be charged on all cancellations where the request to cancel is made more than 28 days prior to the first day of your booking. No refunds will be made within 28 days of the first day of your booking. Bookings that are placed on hold and then cancelled within 12 months from the date of the initial booking will be subject to the standard handling fee of 75%.

We advise all individuals with bookings that are within the 28 day period to pause your booking allowing you the flexibility to use the full value of your booking within the next calendar year.

For those who choose the refund option, we also advise all individuals to consult with their travel insurers to find out specific details linked to cancelations. In many cases loses incurred may be covered by your insurance policies.

As always stay safe and we hope to see you soon.
